Mobile App

Use the web scanner on phones and tablets today

Mobile protection

There is no ScamShield native app in the Apple App Store or Google Play yet. On phones and tablets, use the web scanner in your browser—you can add it to your home screen for quick access.

The list below describes what we are working toward; shipping order and timing may change.

Share-to-scan (web on mobile)

Use your browser's Share menu to open links in ScamShield, or copy text and paste it into the home scanner. Image and document uploads only run after you confirm — nothing is scanned silently.

Screenshots and files may be processed on-device or on servers to extract text; OCR can be imperfect. Prefer pasting exact URLs or message text when possible.

What happens next

You'll see confidence, sources checked, and plain-language next steps. If engines are temporarily unavailable, we say so — we don't invent certainty.

Planned mobile capabilities

  • Clipboard-friendly pasting from SMS and chat apps
  • Offline education content where available
  • Optional alerts when we add supported channels
  • Photo and QR workflows where the scanner supports them
  • Same account progress as on desktop when signed in

Native store listings are not available yet. The web app already runs on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.
